The Hollywood Preview

December 7, 1979 -- A day that will live in memory! A great evening -- the "friends and family" premiere of Star Trek: The Motion Picture at the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre (part of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences). Having just returned from the world premiere in Washington, D.C., I was still on Cloud 9 doing Warp 10!

After this screening (which coincided with the national release date), we had a fabulous party in the Academy lobby downstairs. All the cast and crew mingled as one happy family!
