I missed the first "Star Trek: The Next Generation" wrap party, back in 1988, because I had to catch a plane - to Australia! The night of the party, I was winging my way over the Pacific Ocean enroute to one of my many visits to "Star Trek" fans over there. I was sorry (but not that sorry!) I had to miss the party, but someone was nice enough to take some really great photos of the wrap party for me. Here's one of my favorites: Denise Crosby and Gates McFadden with their dates at the party, held at Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles.

Thanks to my many years of working on "Star Trek," I have friends in a number of countries around the world. I've visited several fans in their homes and have been invited to conventions everywhere! Here I am on one of my trips to Australia. Some of the fans from Melbourne took me to a park where you could feed the kangaroos - what fun! Although I missed the wrap party, I got to visit my fan friends "down under." (By the way, that's me on the right.)
